I walked into the room and sat down at the table by myself and waited. I was a little nervous. He walked in and sat next to me, put out his hand and said hello with every bit of him.
I was leaving the grocery store and the package I carried slipped from my hands and as I bent to pick up the spilled contents. Two hands appeared and began to help me. I looked up in surprise and he smiled at me.
We had played together as children. She lived across the street and I remembered that smile. She sent a card when my wife died.
