whale under the bed
UNDER CONSTRUCTION
There are those who say that you can look too hard for your place in the world. There are those who say that the answer is always within us. I believe this. There was a time when we were all children and what happened tomorrow did not concern us. We lived to play, knew dinner was in the evening. Dad would be home in the evening and that we'd have to go to bed but that didn't matter. It was what was happening right now that had all of our focus and attention. Play and the sun on your face and pretend time and secret friends, this was the world.
Toby lived under my bed. He was a whale. He would protect me when I went to bed from nasty icky things, monsters and bugs.
