PROJECT DESCRIPTION
A celebration of 60 to 90 minutes of music and storytelling using different styles of music and movement Jazz, Rock and Gospel and Brazilian rhythms within the underlying precision and format of drum corps. There are no stops and the action and movement will continue throughout the show. The physical requirements for this piece are strenuous. The storytelling consists of a series of monologues with the musical selections as counterpoints. The monologues highlight some on my experiences from childhood to adulthood. Some grew out of the song that accompanies the monologue and are purely fictional. Hopefully, all touch on the universal points that we all share in life. Through music, whether we listen to it or perform it, our understanding is enhanced. My elevator speech on the description of the show boils down to, "It's a half-time show performed inside with dancing and storytelling. It's loud, it's funny, it's touching and uplifting but mostly, it's loud."
